Two travellers, two paths, touching blues, jazz and singer-songwriter, uniting into an old, but equally new musical experience. Pianist Jan Kosyk is a solo artist, as well as an ensemble player, just like the bassist Alina Dalsegno, hence, they decided to continue the journey as a duo, creating original live music from influences of many decades.
On this EP, the trio led by Alina Dalsegno on bass explores the similarities between blues and swing. Together with pianist Jan Kosyk and drummer Joachim Jurenz, they jazz up four songs by the Siberian singer-songwriter. The result is a work from the deepest Russian soul paired with the lightness of 1920s swing in English and Russian. Anyone who loves jazz standards will love this gem. And eagerly await the summer when Vol. 2 is released with a further five songs.

Accompanied by guitar and piano, the expressive voices explain why Alex expropriated the bear, how to get Nazis out of the house and why people are more important than borders. And while the two use my pen to write the odd lines of music into the listener’s ears, they talk musically about melted ice cream. Just as if they were sitting in the sun – with a beer in their hand – in front of the next late-night shop.

Bei der Musik- und Literaturreihe lax&lux – trifft Monat für Monat im Leipziger Osten Ton auf Text, Gesang auf Gespräch. Kritisch-humorvoll, intelligent und trotzdem warmherzig beobachten die Liedermacherin Paula Linke und der Autor Daniel Baierl die Umwelt in ihrer jeweiligen Disziplin.
Ich hatte die große Ehre zusammen mit Lona und Phil einen Abend im Ost-Pol zu gestalten. Es war verraucht, es war bierig und es war emotional. Danke dafür!
Zum sechsten Mal lud Thomas Schreiter auf den urigen Dachboden auf der Sebnitzer Straße 6 ein. Einmal im Jahr zum Neustadt Art Festival öffnet sich die kleine Holztür und gibt den Weg in das Kunst-und-Musik-Wunderlichterland frei.
Die Piraten Dresden upcyclenregelmäßig ihre Wahlplakate, diesmal für den OB-Kandidaten Dr. Martin Schulte-Wissermann. Dabei durfte ich neben LonA und Tini Bot musikalische Unterstützung liefern.
Monate lang wurde gesungen, gespielt, gezeichnet, gemalt, geschnitten, gebastelt, gerendert… Und nun ist die Zeit gekommen, der Welt zu zeigen, welche zauberhaften Gedanken mit dem Projekt »mp3+4 :: 4 Werke« verwirklicht wurden.
Jedes Jahr zum adriAkustik-Festival gibt es auch die Liedermachenliga. Alex entstand dafür, und 2021 zauberte ich Spätverkauf aus dem Hut. 🍻
